Drivers Challenge

American Kneeboard Association members 17 years and under are eligible for scholarships given annually in the amount of no less than $500.  Applicants must write an essay describing their involvement in AKA.  Their future career plans and any information that may assist the AKA Board of Directors in their selection process.  Essays must be presented to an AKA Board member prior to the Annual AKA Summer Board meeting held in conjunction with the National Championships.  Further information may be obtained by contacting AKA President Kenny Stuart at kennystuart@etcmail.com

A sportsmanship award is one of the greatest honors a member can receive.  The recipient of this award is chosen by the membership and may or may not be a competitor.  Ballots are distributed at the Annual Competitors/Officials mandatory meeting held in conjunction with the National Championships.  Mail ballots may be obtained from the AKA Secretary, Ed Sauls by contacting ed.sauls61@gmail.com

This award is presented annually to an American Kneeboard Association Board member, past or present and is chosen by the Board of Directors.  The award honors a member for his/her lifelong contributions to and achievements within the association.  Formally known as the Ron Veno Award, retired in 2001, it is regarded as the most prestigious award that can be bestowed on an AKA Board member.

Rated AKA drivers are eligible to participate
in the challenge. Each year, held in conjunction
with the National Championships the drivers are
challenged to a new and exciting competition.  The challenge was retired in the late 1990's. The fun and games were brought out of retirement in 2008.
